There are thousands of us in the Canadian Armed Forces who hold strong views on the direction of our country, yet we're bound by regulations that prevent us from speaking publicly. We watch as policy decisions are made that affect our communities, our families, and our future – decisions that we cannot publicly comment on. This platform gives us a voice without putting our careers at risk.
Western alienation is real. It's a feeling that's deeply understood by those of us who serve this country from the West. We've seen the concerns of Alberta and Saskatchewan dismissed by Ottawa, as though they don't matter. But they do matter. As members of the Canadian Armed Forces from these provinces, we know this better than anyone.
